Nelson Romance Writers Competition - RESULTS

RESULTS OF THE NELSON SPRING ROMANCE SHORT STORY COMPETITION 2012.

Lynne M Kokshoorn in Greymouth for her story Come back to me.
Judge Sue MacKay’s comment: I loved this story – all that emotion – you really touched me. I kept wondering will Remi come home? Won’t he? That’s awesome writing.

Donna Capil in Stoke (Nelson) for her story Molly’s Crush.

Judge Sue MacKay’s comment: I loved this story. It is so real, so emotive.

Liz Elson in Wellington for her story The Way Home.

Judge Sue MacKay’s comment: I enjoyed this story. It depicts well the quandaries of people, whose families have left home, and are now left facing their own time to do something for themselves.

Congratualtions to all the winners and finalists.
This is so heartwarming and Kudos to you and Nelson Branch for organising this competition. Short story writing is a real art and very difficult to accomplish.
