Love Comes in Unexpected Places

As the Nelson Area Coordinator of Greyhounds As Pets and a Romance Writer, I thought what could be more fitting than to post this gorgeous advertisement.

Thank you Saatchi and Saatchi for making such a beautiful ad for these amazing dogs. Lets hope it helps find more wonderful homes for these couch potatoes.

This post also gives me a good excuse to show off my own beautiful retired greyhound, Jazzy : )

Love really does come from unexpected places. I'd never have imagined just how much I would fall in love with my girl. She adds so much to our life as a family, we wouldn't be the same without her.

To find out more about these amazing animals, check out GAP's website, full of great information - but beware - they also have photos of dogs awaiting adoption - you just might fall in love! : )

  1. Wonderful mission, LaVerne. I have neighbors who have adopted track greyhounds for years. Wonderful dogs. I applaud you heartily.

  2. Thanks Joy!
And you're right - they truly are amazing dogs. I just love how quiet Jazzy is - my neighbour had no idea we had a dog. She saw me walking her one day and asked if thats what I did for a job! Hadn't heard a peep from her - and this was after a year!
The only true problem I've come across with them is that they are addictive : )

  3. Beautiful dog. Love the name. Our cat is Jazzie, also. Jazzie Miles Davis, to be exact.

  4. Hi Vonnie! We think she's beautiful too. And I bet your cat easily carries off such a name : ) Our poor cat Suki still isn't quite sure what to make of the dog, so she ignores her completely - unless the dog gets too close, and then she'll let her know all about it!
